This 1966 Pontiac GTO is a true GTo with a 242 vin. They say that the GTO was the first Muscle Car. This one is done in a killer Starlite Black Paint that sports a ton of eye appeal. Under the hood it has a 400 V8 that is Mated to a 4 Speed Trans. This is a very solid car that would make a great driver for anyone.
When you look down the sides of this GTO it has a laser straight body with good fit of the doors, trunk, and hood. The body is covered in the Star Lite Black Paint that looks and appears to be less than a year old. It has been buffed and polished to give it a deep rich shine. By looking at the chrome the bumpers and door handles looks new and the rest of the chrome looks good. At the time the work was done they replaced the weather stripping around the doors and trunk to ensure a good fit. The stainless appears to be factory and shows well for its age along with the glass. The final exterior touch is the set of new 18” and 20” American Racing Wheels. Read more!
Next, we will move on to the interior of the ’66. It’s all done in the classic black with the correct seats and console. The seats, carpet, door panels, and headliner appears good. The dash still has the wood grain in it that shows some age but still presents very well. Everything appears factory with the exception of the under dash gauges and upgraded radio. This GTO still has seat belts and even the dome lite is working.
Finally, we will take a look at the driveline of the Pontiac. Under the hood it has a Pontiac 400 that is mated to a 4 Speed Trans and the factory Rear End. It’s dressed with chrome valve covers and breather. The radiator was upgraded to aluminum.
This was a factory A/C car that still has all of the dash unit in it. It has power steering and power brakes. When looking at the floors you can see that they have been replaced and whoever done it did a very nice job. The frame looks very good with no signs of damage.
