Brown Carbon McLaren P1

One of the coolest hyper cars at this year’s Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance, which incidentally got the least attention, was this one-of-a-kind Brown Carbon McLaren P1. Another product of McLaren Special Operations, this multi-million dollar chocolate cake actually relies on a simple visual trick to look unique.

Brown Carbon McLaren P1 Spot Highlight

The Brown Carbon McLaren P1, which at first glance appears to be made out of some special brown-colored carbon fiber, is in reality a Volcano Orange P1 with the orange panels given a heavy tint. I guess you could also call this color “Burned” Volcano Orange since that is what it looks like. In any case, a brown finish seems to suit the P1 rather well. In fact, darker, more serious colors just work better on this car than flashy, vibrant and excessively shiny finishes.
