A very rare 1938 Bugatti Type 57C Atalante is set to be auctioned off by RM Sotheby’s at the company’s Driven by Disruption sale in New York City.
The desirable and sought-after French car was originally purchased by successful businessman John W. Straus and spent 50 years of its life stored away.
In 2007, it underwent a comprehensive restoration and went on to place 2nd in class at the 2007 Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance. At Pebble Beach two years ago, a similar Type 57C Atalante was sold for $8.5 million and it seems likely that this unit could fetch in excess of $10 million when the hammer drops. By: GtSpirit
