After years of driving so many rare cars Chris Harris still manages to surprise us.
In early September, the motoring journalist raced a Renault Sport R.S. 01 in the Renault Sport Trophy at the World Series by Renault meeting at Silverstone.
Obviously, driving a 550hp mid-engined race car on the Silverstone Circuit is an unforgettable experience, and fortunately Renault Sport and Chris Harris shared that experience with fans by releasing a video of the journalist’s first contact with the car.
Harris said he was blown away by the aerodynamic efficiency of the Renault Sport R.S. 01, with the car producing more aerodynamic grip than a GT3 car in his opinion. He was also amazed by the R.S. 01’s superb traction and the performance of its braking system.
Harris acknowledged he would have needed more than an hour of testing before being able to drive the car at its full potential. Scroll down to see how his first contact with the R.S. 01 went down. bY: Carscoops
