The G2 in its name stands for the second generation. Indeed, this beast is the second incarnation of the Fighter machine, and is also the last creation of designer Pierre Terblanche before he joined the ranks of Royal Enfield.

G2 P51 Combat Fighter incorporates some of the design cues of other Confederate bike, the Hellcat, but remains a distinctive presence in the extreme powercruiser segment.

Confederate followed their classic recipe, using a billet aluminium frame and engine case, a beastly v-twin engine, liberal use of carbon and a very aggressive overall stance. On the power side, the Confederate G2 P51 Combat Fighter delivers 200 hp at the rear wheel, via 5-speed transmission.

All the grunt comes from a 132 ci (2,163cc), 170 lb-ft (230 Nm) v-twin. Various sections of the bike are in plain sight, behind transparent panels, and this only increases the intriguing factor. The fenders and the belly pan are carbon fiber, just like the solid lenticular rear wheel,

Only 61 Fighters made

Confederate uses high-spec, multi-adjustable suspensions at both ends. The fork used is however a girder-type one, adding more evil to the whole attire.

Built for solo asphalt scorching, the Confederate G2 P51 Combat Fighter only comes with a single seat that leaves the rear end clean and tidy. This also exposes the beefy, extra-wide tire and enhances the menacing looks of the Fighter.

Only 61 bikes will be manufactured, as always, on a preorder and deposit basis, customized for each buyer. The 30 “white” models will run you $113,900 (€100,900) a pop, while each of the 31 “black” ones will have you forking out $119,500 (€105,900). By: autoevolution
