So far Forgiato has been the only tuner with a proper widebody kit for the C7 Corvette. But their crown is now being challenged by Ivan Tampi Customs and a Corvette Stingray Widebody they call XIK. What they’ve done here is give the car a facelift rather than a mere styling kit.
Tampi’s Corvette Stingray Widebody XIK is a full 4 inch wider than the stock Stingray thanks to a set of new fenders designed to complement the ‘Vette’s sexy styling. They couldn’t stop there though and designed also new skirts, a sporty new bonnet, custom front and rear bumpers, and a set of aero parts. The kit is, naturally, made of carbon fiber.
Ivan Tampi Customs will make 100 units of this 14-piece wide body kit for the Stingray and, we suppose, also supplies the ultra-wide wheels and tricked-out suspension required to perfect the look. Production begins in mid-January 2016. By: motorward
