If the rumors are true, the range-topping Viper will enter production in July.
According to a “reliable source,” Dodge has given the production green light to the Viper ACR, with the range-topping model expected to start rolling off the assembly line this July as a 2016 model.
The stripped-down high-performance, track-focused variant of the coupe, the Gen V Viper ACR was previewed in concept form at SEMA last year sporting a range of performance and visual upgrades.
The concept arrived at the aftermarket extravaganza decked out in a set of lightweight 19-inch black alloy wheels housing carbon ceramic brakes and six piston calipers from Brembo, a huge carbon-fiber rear wing, carbon front splitter and winglets,
while new air ducts were added behind the windows in order to cool the rear differential. It also sported a track-tuned suspension, and a cabin upholstered in Alcantara and carbon fiber. By: Carbuzz
