Honda revealed its plans to unveil the 16YM CBR500R to the public for the first time at the American International Motorcycle Expo, which starts in Orlando, Florida on 15th October.

Featuring a new styling, based on edgy character lines and a design theme of “Aggressive Speed Shape”, Honda says that the CBR500R is the perfect bike for someone stepping up from smaller machines or for experienced riders looking for an all-rounder, sporty, capable motorcycle.

Mind you, the CBR500R’s lively performance and sports styling isn’t for everybody, but the bike comes with several rider-focused upgrades, including front suspension with adjustable pre-load, larger fuel tank with new hinged fuel cap, adjustable break levers and “wave style” ignition key.

Honda also offers a low-note, shorter exhaust muffler for enhanced mass-centralization and a “range of dynamic new color schemes”. The Japanese company did not specify anything about the bike’s engine, so we can assume that the 16YM CBR500R will come with the 471cc, liquid-cooled, parallel-twin power-unit, good for boasting…47 hp. Enough to take it to limited top speed of 180 km/h (112 mph). By: Carscoops
