Powered by a new, in-house developed 5.2-litre twin-turbo V12 engine, the new DB11 offers 600hp (608PS) and 516lb ft (700Nm) of torque, making it the most powerful production DB model in the history of Aston Martin. 0-62mph comes in 3.9 seconds, with the top speed set at 200mph.

The new engine is paired to an eight-speed ZF automatic transmission, with the driver able to choose between multiple driving modes -GT, Sport and Sport Plus- which alter the response of the engine, the gearbox, the electric power steering, the torque vectoring and the adaptive dampers, giving the new DB11 an “extraordinary breadth of dynamic capability”.

Built upon a new lighter, stronger, and more space efficient bonded aluminum structure, the DB11 marries Aston Martin’s new design direction with innovative aerodynamics, re-imaging the relationship between form and function. New design signatures like the uninterrupted roof strakes from A- to the C-pillar, the side gills or the sculpted rear end with its Virtual Spoiler are combined with clever management of airflow both over and under the bodywork, reducing lift and driving air away from the car.

“We aspire to make the most beautiful cars in the world. DB11 is the absolute embodiment of what an Aston Martin should be and we have worked tirelessly to ensure that DB11 combines both exceptional design with the latest technology throughout,” said Dr Andy Palmer, Aston Martin CEO.

“A brand new bonded aluminium platform, clever aerodynamics, a new characterful twin-turbo V12 and class-leading infotainment systems are just a few aspects which make this the sports car that will proudly spearhead Aston Martin’s second century plan.” By: Carscoops
