Carbuyer is trying to answer some questions regarding on how good the new Renault Kadjar really is.
The compact segment for crossovers has expanded massively over these past few years and almost every carmaker is offering a vehicle in it. While some are better than others, today’s review is focusing on the Renault Kadjar.
The video posted below is signed by the guys from Carbuyer and it’s trying to tell us that, despite being the same model basically as the Nissan Qashqai, except for the body panels and some other tweaks, the new Renault Kadjar is slightly better than its Japanese brother. We won’t be spoilers and tell you all about it because you have to check it out if you’re interested in such a model.
The Renault Kadjar has entered production this year, after being officially presented to the public at the Geneva Motor Show. The crossover is slotting just above the Captur and it’s being offered in a five-door compact body style, with a front-engine and front-wheel (Extended Grip optional) / all-wheel drive layout, depending on the version chosen. As we’ve mentioned above, it’s related to the Nissan Qashqai and it stands at 4,450 mm long, 1,840 mm wide and 1,600 mm tall.
The engine lineup includes a petrol burner, the TCe 130 with a 1.2l producing 130 HP (96 kW) and 205 Nm (151 lb-ft) of torque, and two diesel burners, the dCi 110 and the dCi 130, with the 110 getting an EDC besides the manual and the 130 bringing a 4×4 system in the range-topping variant.
